Day 1—Monday, April 5
Salt Lake City/Kansas City
Depart this morning for Independence, Missouri. Upon arrival we'll board our
motorcoach and drive to Independence where we'll
see the Community of Christ Church Tabernacle and Temple and then spend time at the LDS Visitors'
Center. Overnight in Kansas City at the
Holiday Inn Express.

Day 2—Tuesday, April 6
Liberty
Jail/Far West/Adam-Ondi-
Ahman/Nauvoo
Early this morning we'll drive to Liberty to visit the jail and Visitors'
Center. It was here during the
winter of 1838 that the Prophet Joseph Smith was imprisoned for four and a half
months and received the 121st and 122nd sections of the Doctrine and
Covenants. Next we drive along the
beautiful banks of the Missouri River where the early saints were camped during
the days of persecution in Missouri prior to
their exodus to Illinois. We visit Far
West to see the site of the temple and have a picnic lunch. Our next
stop is Adam-
Ondi-Ahman where Adam blessed his posterity and where we are told
Jesus Christ will appear prior to the second advent. Continuing on, we cross the
mighty Mississippi River on a scenic drive to
Nauvoo. Overnight in Nauvoo at the
Nauvoo Family Inn & Suites. (B,L,D)
Day 3—Wednesday, April 7 Nauvoo
Today we'll step back in time as we begin our tour of Old Nauvoo.
Among our stops will be the Joseph Smith Homestead, Mansion House, gravesites of
Joseph Smith, Emma, and Hyrum, and the Red Brick Store. Next we'll visit the LDS
Visitor's Center and see the statuary park dedicated to women. Following lunch we'll continue our visit
of old Nauvoo including the Brickyard, Blacksmith Shop, Lucy Mack Smith home,
Heber C. Kimball home, and Wilford Woodruff's home. This evening we'll see a
musical production presented by the missionaries. Overnight in Nauvoo at the
Nauvoo Family Inn & Suites. (B,L,D)
Day 4—Thursday, April 8
Nauvoo/Carthage
We'll begin our day with a morning temple session at the Nauvoo Temple. (Attendance at the temple is optional
and subject to the temple schedule.) This afternoon we'll visit the Pioneer Cemetery and then have free time to visit
the Riser Tin Shop, Scovil Bakery, Browning Gun Shop, Times and Seasons Print
Shop, Brigham Young home, and the John Taylor home. Late afternoon we'll depart
for Carthage
where we'll view a production of the life of the Prophet Joseph Smith that is
shown exclusively at this Visitors' Center. Next we tour the jail itself where
the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were martyred. Overnight at the
Nauvoo Family Inn & Suites. (B,L,D)
Day 5—Friday, April 9
Hannibal/Springfield
As we say our farewell to Nauvoo, we continue on to Mark Twain's
Hannibal on the Mississippi
River where we'll have a luncheon cruise on a riverboat. Following
lunch, we'll depart for Springfield, IL. Our first stop is Abraham Lincoln's home.
The Quakerbrown residence where the
Abraham Lincoln family lived for seventeen years (1844-1861) is a national
treasure. Next will see Abraham Lincoln's tomb. Overnight at the Springfield Hilton.

Day 6—Saturday, April 10
Springfiled/St. Louis/Salt
Lake City
On the last day of our tour we'll visit the new Abraham Lincoln
Presidential Museum. This building is dedicated
to the life and legacy of our 16th president. Combining
scholarship and showmanship, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum uses 21st
century technology to immerse visitors in the world of gas lamps and hoop
skirts-Lincoln's world. We end our visit in Springfield, IL and drive
to the St. Louis
airport for our flight home. (B)
