City/Philadelphia
Depart Salt Lake
City and arrive in Philadelphia in the late afternoon. On our way
to dinner and our hotel, we'll see our first glimpse of this historical city as
we tie in the freedoms that made the Restoration of the Gospel possible. Accommodations: Holiday Inn.

Day 2-Tuesday, July 13:
Philadelphia/Allentown
Early this morning we begin our
exciting tour of Philadelphia. We'll see Independence Hall, the
Liberty Bell, the grave site of Benjamin Franklin, the first bank of the
United
States, and Carpenter's Hall. After lunch we
visit the Betsy Ross home and Valley Forge.

Day 3-Wednesday, July 14:
Harmony/Palmyra
Today we depart for Palmyra to witness the
highlight of our tour, “The Hill Cumorah Pageant.” Enroute we'll visit Harmony,
PA., the site of the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood. Then on to the Peter
Whitmer Farm where the Church was was organized on April 6, 1830.

Day 4-Thursday, July 15:
Palmyra
Early this morning we'll spend time
in the Sacred Grove and reflect on the special events that took place here. Next
we'll visit the restored Joseph Smith, Sr. home and farm including the restored
log cabin. We'll see the Palmyra Temple and talk about the importance of
this modern-day temple in this historic and sacred place. Next, the Grandin
Printing Complex where the first Book of Mormon was printed and then we'll walk
up a little hill to see the grave site of Alvin Smith, eldest brother of Joseph
Smith. This evening we'll enjoy a session at the Palmyra Temple. Attendance at the temple is
optional and subject to the temple schedule. Accommodations: Woodcliff

Day 5-Friday, July 16:
Palmyra/Niagra
Falls
Following breakfast we will continue
our journey to Niagara Falls, the oldest state
park in the US. Upon arrival we will see the
incredible Niagara Falls IMAX show. Following lunch we'll board the maid of the
mist boat which passes directly in front of the falls. This is a fun activity
you don't want to miss. This afternoon will be at your leisure with time for
shopping and sightseeing. Accommodations: Radisson Hotel

Day 6-Saturday, July 17:
Niagra
Falls/Kirtland/Fairport Harbor
We'll start our day with breakfast
at the Minolta
Tower with a fantastic view
of the falls. Next we continue our journey to Kirtland, Ohio. We'll see Fairport Harbor where the Saints arrived from New York. We'll see
Chagrin River, the site of some of the earliest baptisms in
the Kirtland area and we'll visit the Kirtland Temple. The cost of the Kirtland Temple is estimated at about $40,000,
which was a staggering sum for the 1830s. Relative to the meager resources of
the Saints at the time, the Kirtland Temple is probably the most costly temple
ever constructed by the Church. Accommodations:

Day 7-Sunday, July 18:
Kirtland
Following Sacrament we will see the
Temple
Quarry and enjoy a picnic
lunch. We'll spend the afternoon
visiting the Historic Kirtland village including; the LDS Visitor's Center, the
Whitney Home and Store, the Johnson Inn, the Ashery and Sawmill. Accommodations:

Day 8-Monday, July 19:
Hiram/Salt
Lake
City We
depart this morning for Hiram, Ohio to
visit the John Johnson farm. It was at the John Johnson farm that Joseph Smith
received the vision of the three degrees of glory. Following lunch we'll depart
for Cleveland
for our afternoon flight home. (B)
