Day 1: Monday, June 21, 2021

Kansas City/Great Wolf Lodge

Depart this morning for Kansas City, MO. Upon arrival, we travel to "The Great Wolf Lodge" to enjoy over a dozen Swim, Splash, and Slide adventures and several other activities included in our stay, plus many dry-land attractions such as mini golf (some activities available to purchase at a discounted rate).

Day 2: Tuesday, June 22, 2021

Kansas City, Liberty, Independence

We begin our day at the Kansas City Temple for optional session and/or baptisms. Next, we will drive to Liberty Jail where, during the winter of 1838-39, Joseph Smith was imprisoned. Our next stop is Independence to visit the LDS Visitor's Center and temple lot where the first temple was commanded to be built in this dispensation. The remainder of our day will be spent at the Great Wolf Lodge.

Day 3: Wednesday, June 23, 2021

Richmond, Far West, Adam-ondi-Ahman, Nauvoo

Following breakfast, we drive along the beautiful Missouri River to Richmond to see the Three Witnesses Monument. We then continue to Far West to see the temple site and have a picnic lunch. Our next stop is Adam-ondi-Ahman. Following dinner, we will drive to Nauvoo.

Day 4: Thursday, June 24, 2021


Today we begin our tour of old Nauvoo. Among our stops will be the Joseph Smith Homestead, Mansion House, the Red Brick Store, and the gravesites of Joseph, Emma, and Hyrum. Next, we will visit the Blacksmith Shop and Seventies Hall. Following lunch, we will have free time to visit historic Nauvoo. Tonight, we will enjoy the musical production, "Sunset on the Mississippi", which is performed by missionaries.

Day 5: Friday, June 25, 2021


We begin our day with a morning temple session and/or baptisms at the Nauvoo Temple. This afternoon, we visit the LDS Visitors' Center and walk through the Monument to Women Memorial Garden dedicated to women in 1978. Next, we visit the Old Nauvoo Burial Ground. The Burial Grounds were established in 1842 on the south side of the old Carthage Road. Today, a bronze monument of a grieving family stands sentinel over this sacred cemetery, a peaceful and wooded resting place for early pioneers. Following dinner, we will walk the Trail of Hope and read excerpts from diaries of the Saints who joined the Mormon exodus from Nauvoo in 1846.

Day 6: Saturday, June 26, 2021

Carthage- St. Louis- Home

Saying farewell to Nauvoo, we continue for Carthage, Il. On June 27, 1844, the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were killed by a mob that attacked them in Carthage Jail. Joseph "sealed his mission and his works with his own blood; and so [did] his brother, Hyrum. In life they were not divided, and in death they were not separated." Following lunch, we will drive to St. Louis for our late afternoon flight home.
