Allan Gunnerson
Dr. Allan Gunnerson was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended the University of Utah and completed a bachelor’s degree in cultural geography and international relations. He received a master of education degree in secondary school administration and a doctor of education degree in higher education administration from Brigham Young University.

As an educator, Dr.Gunnerson’s career has been with the Church Educational System, including 34 years as a seminary and institute teacher and administrator. He currently is the director of the institute of religion at LDS Business College. He has taught BYU adult education classes and participated in Know Your Religion lectures. He has developed and taught classes on the culture and geography of the Holy Land. Outside of his career in the Church Educational System, Dr. Gunnerson has consulted in the area of compensation management and served in various community responsibilities.
Blair Van Dyke
Blair Van Dyke is a full-time instructor in religion. He was also an instructor in the Brigham Young University Department of Church History and Doctrine while completing on his doctoral degree in 1997. He has traveled to the Holy Land and lead tours to Israel many times.
Clyde and Kathy Williams
Clyde is a Professor of Ancient Scripture at Brigham Young University where he has taught since 1986. Prior to coming to BYU, Clyde wrote curriculum for the Church Education System and was a seminary teacher. Kathy is a support specialist for the Seminaries and Institutes and has a degree in Travel & Tourism.
Dave and Bonnie Jacobs
David has taught with the LDS Church Education System for 37 years, 30 of those years being on the Univeristy Institute level. He holds a BS degree in Business Education from the Univeristy of Utah and Masters degree in Education Administration from Brigham Young University. Bonnie attended Weber State University for two years. She has held many church callings and has been a teacher of youth and adults, plus held leadership positions in the ward and stake.
Dean Marriott
As a soldier at war, Dean Marriott found courage and faith through scripture study. There he made a decision to seek to become an instructor of the life and teachings of Jesus and his Apostles. Later he attended Brigham Young University and received a doctor's degree which included studies in Biblical Hebrew and history of the Middle East.
Don Beesley
Don and Annette Beesley have traveled to many parts of the world and have directed tours for more than twenty years across the world. They enjoy visiting places and helping others discover the beauties of those places. Don is a retired educator with a doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California. He also has degrees from the University of Utah as well as Brigham Young University.

Jim Mathews
He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Religious Education degrees from Brigham Young University. He has taught with the Church Educational System for 38 years, serving as Institute Director at Utah Technical College, LDS Business College, and South City Institute of Religion.
Joel Judd
Joel was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and grew up in West Point, Utah graduating from Davis High School. He served an LDS mission to New England under President Truman G. Madsen. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, Sociology and Psychology at Weber State College in 1970, and received a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from BYU in 1975. Since that time he has been a student of Biblical Hebrew, ancient Near East History, and Geography of the Holy Land. Joel, now retired, taught in the L. D. S. Church Education System for 37 years, in Seminary in Ogden, Utah and in Institute in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and at the Orem Institute of Religion at Utah Valley State College. He has taught at the BYU Jerusalem Center in Israel on three different occasions as a religion instructor and field trip director and has directed many tours to Egypt and Israel.
Jonn Claybaugh
Jonn D. Claybaugh received his bachelor's degree in Spanish and psychology from Cal State San Bernardino and his master's degree in educational administration from Brigham Young University.
Kay Godfrey
Kay Godfrey is a graduate of Brigham Young University, holding degrees in Historic Archaeology and Anthropology.Kay has been escorting tours all over the US, Israel and Europe for many years and has a love of people, travel and teaching at the sites.
Michael Phillips
Michael Phillips is a Leadership Consultant and former Professor of Humanities at Brigham Young University.He earned a PhD from the Committee on History of Culture at the University of Chicago, where he trained in Art History, History, and Sociology.
Ronald Morgan
Ronald Lynn Morgan has been an instructor in Seminaries and Institutes for twenty-six years. He currently teaches at the institute in Tempe, Arizona on the campus of Arizona State University. His love of the Holy Land began in 1992 when he and his wife, Kim visited for the first time.
Steven Kapp Perry
Steve is an award-winning songwriter, playwright, and broadcaster from Cedar Hills, Utah.



He's released 14 CDs of original music and has written for National Geographic, Deseret Book, and other companies.
Stewart Glazier
Brother Glazier has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish education and general science from Arizona State University. He received his master’s degree in recreational education from BYU. He has also completed many hours in graduate scripture study with the Church Educational System. Brother Glazier has taught seminary and institute classes plus many Continuing Education classes. Currently he is an area director for CES.
Ted Gibbons
Ted Gibbons was born and raised in Logan, Utah.After serving a mission to Brazil, he attended Utah State University on a theatre arts scholarship, which he later changed to speech.
Tim Taggart
Tim Taggart has been a pioneer in LDS travel from the beginning.He received a bachelor's degree in history and political science and a master's degree in instructional technology from Utah State University.
Victor Ludlow
Victor L. Ludlow is one of the foremost authorities on the Holy Land, Near Eastern and Jewish history, and the scriptures in the Church today. He has done extensive scholarly research into Judaism and has directed more than 25 travel study tours to the Holy Land. He was also director of three six-month Undergraduate Studies programs in Jerusalem. Brother Ludlow graduated with high honors from Brigham Young University and did graduate work at Harvard and Brandeis universities, where he was recognized as a Danforth Fellow. He received his doctorate (PhD) in Near Eastern and Judaic studies. Brother Ludlow is a professor of ancient scripture at BYU, where he has been teaching since 1972.
Wayne Brickey
Brother Brickey started teaching for the Church Educational System in 1969. For many years, he has been a popular lecturer in Education Weeks and other CES programs. In 1998 he received a Teaching Excellence Award from the BYU Division of Continuing Education.
